Five yet to be identified persons have been confirmed dead in a ghastly accident involving two vehicles, which happened yesterday in Ondo state.
The accident, according to report from the state office of the Federal Roads Safety Commission, (FRSC) occured at Oyoyo camp in Owo local government area.
Two vehicles, a Toyota bus, registration number MKD 341XA with 18 passengers, coming from Lagos heading to Makurdi and a J5 bus number BDG 330 AP, coming from Benin and heading to Owena in Osun state were involved in the accident.
According to FRSC sources, the two vehicles, had a head on collusion, around three in the afternoon, which sparked fire and burnt them.
In its first report on the incident, FRSC explained that 14 persons were rushed to the federal medical centre in Owo, while the identities of the two drivers are yet to be known.
It stated that the dead victims were burnt into ashes, which made it difficult to identify them.
