An early morning fire has razed five shops and a residential building at Odofin lane around Saint Peters Unity School, Akure, Ondo State capital.
The cause of the Inferno could not be ascertained as shop owners continued to count their loses.
Property worth millions of naira were destroyed by the fire.
Many residents of the area blamed late arrival of fire fighters to the scene of the incident.
Some of the victims called on the state government to come to their rescue.
One of the victims, Faith Abidakun urged Govenor Rotimi Akeredolu to assist them to bounce back.
She said, ” The fire destroyed all the goods in my shop. I am left with nothing. I don’t know what to do now.
