Chartered institutes of certified secretaries and reported of Nigeria has appeal to Federal Government to recognize and implement section 35 of Act 2015 known by the National Assembly
The registrat/CEO of chartered institute of certified secretaries and reported of Nigeria, Mr. Samuel O.A Ozomah, FESR, MINIM, made the appeal at the 33rd national conference/ seminal and annual general meeting in Uyo
The registrat said toward the development, government through its scheme of service had stagnated secretaries on grade level 14 as bar while their counter part with less experience, skill, ability and educational qualification will attain the directorate highest rank in service which needs to revisit the section 35 of Act for implementation.
According to him, the legislature had corrected that anomaly by providing in section 35 of the institutes establishment Act that “Any person who passed the professional examination (PE11) and is enrolled as an associated (ACSR) shall not be stagnated salary-wise but can attend grade level 17 with career path created for such person.
Mr. ozomah said toward the recognition and implementation of section 35 act of 2015 known by the national assembly, office of the head of civil service of the federation ought to issues necessary circular that would fully support the implementation of the law of federal republic of Nigeria.
The president/ chairman governing board, high chief Amachukwu Chibuzor Okezie said the conference is to uplift participant to assume higher responsibilities in management while called on federal government, state government, industries, leaders to entrust their chartered certified secretaries and official verbatim reporters with duties and function meeting up the professional standard.
He commended members for attending the conference and believe it will up grade their profession while advice them to continue to work hard understanding the profession has come of age.
” I also observed that the hotels have relaxed in terms of wearing facemasks and social distancing . I also observed that they have been having events in their halls without observing social distancing and wearing of facemasks” he said .
