EKITI- The much talked about Governorship election in Ekiti state seemed destined for failure as a result on the actions and inactions of INEC with few days to the elections and the massive plot the APC and INEC are plotting to pull in the coming Elections.
Information at the disposal of Daily Watch Confirmed that the serious plot to rig the 2018 governor elections in Ekiti state by INEC and the APC has already commenced in full with the recruitment of Ad-hoc staff for the exercise now secretly ongoing in the state with the APC and INEC staging a ‘coup’ in their recruitment of ad-hoc workers in the State.
Daily Watch findings exposed that INEC and the APC have commenced the recruitment of Presiding and Returning officers from Osun and Lagos using the Identification cards of the Federal University of Oyi, Ekiti (FUOYO) as a cover up ‘
According to an Internal memo from the dean of the Student affairs seeking registration of Students as Presiding officer and Returning officers in the forth coming elections while in fact INEC is simply using the school to get Lagos and Osun people through ID cards from the institution to register them for the election.
In the reported plot, instead of Using the over 9,000 Youth Coppers in Ekiti state as the case of INEC in all elections, the INEC is now Pretending to be recruiting FUOYE students while infact using APC members from Osun and Lagos with FUOYO ID cards to serve as Presiding officers and returning officers in the Eletction added to the plot to use the Vice Chancellor of FUOYO Professor kayode Soremekun, a Card carrying member of the APC and a close ally of Fayemi, the APC Governorship candidate as State returning officers for the Ekiti State governorship Elections.
Already, names of recruited ad-hoc staff and the list is already compiled with letters asking them to provide accounts of relations, friends etc that moneys running into several thousand can be paid into but not of theirs as the APC is about paying several cash into their accounts for the roles they would play in the governorship Elections .
What Many Nigerians and Ekiti indigenes are asking INEC and FUOYO is why the haste to pick Presiding officers from FUOYO when Youth Corps members running into over 9,000 are still on ground in Ekiti State and are those in use in almost all INEC Elections?
How come a 9,000 corps member’s in the State cannot man the less than 2,200 polling units in Ekiti State for INEC/APC to secretly be picking names of FUOYO students as Presiding officers and returning officers for the Governorship lections?
Already, tension is said to be mounting in the state among PDP members over this new expose which seem to be confirming the several plots by the APC to win the elections by every means possible.
Attempts to Speak with the APC spokesperson in the state was not possible but the spokesperson of governor Fayose on the new Media Lere Olayinka confirmed the insurance of memo by the Dean of Student affairs and the plot to use the FUOYO students to rig the Coming Elections
