Some few Months ago, Daily Watch brought into stream the heinous , shocking discovery and positive vibes the Operation Safe Corridor Program me of the Buhari’s administration as it concerns the Boko Haram is giving to the members of the sect in their battle against the Nigerian government just as it is destroying the positive frame of mind of the men of the Nigerian Military in their battle against the insurgents..,
Daily watch investigation in the force headquarters here in Abuja and amongst several Military boys returning from the War Front then and even till date have confirmed that the Operation safe Corridor program me started by the Buhari’s administration since 2016 has become more of not just a colossal failure and support to the insurgents but serving as a huge disadvantage and a massive albatross that is helping the Boko Haram sect to actualized their evil intent and actions on Nigerians and also boosting the Boko Haram hands of successes rather than helping to win the battle against insurgency as may be the thoughts of the original conceivers of the whole Operation Safe Corridor Policy.
Daily watch sources among Military officers confirmed that the Operation Safe Corridor which came on stream in 2016 a year after President Buhari come to power and few years after he had quarried President Good luck all out War Policy against the sect was more of an encouragement and firm support to the terrorists rather than a deterrent as it has more than ever before titillate and embolden them in the battle against the Nigerian Military.
The Operation Safe Corridor to Nigerian who don’t know what it entails is simply a program me of the Buhari’s government approach to fighting the Boo Haram fighters/ insurgents arrested or that surrendered and rather than prosecute and jail them had seen the Federal government releasing thousands of them (the so called de-radicalized Sects members) back into the Society and some into the Nigerian Military ,where shockingly most of them either return to the trenches to fight against the Nigerian Military and others in the Military assisting the Boko Haram Boys with sensitive information that has seen the successes and increase in ambush against the Nigeria Military Convoys, Bases and stations in recent times with the most recently been the near death of the commander of the Military operations in Borno state weeks past and the slaughtering of hundreds of Military officers in cold blood in Mugunu and Gonini all in the North East.
Daily watch investigations confirmed that several of the so called de-radicalized Boko Haram fighters that got enlisted into the Military have become agents, spies and information gathering agents and suppliers to the Boko Haram fighters thereby helping the sect to not only to expand their bold attack on the Military and Nigerians but made most of their attack solidly successful due to the privileged information supplied by their ilk in the Military that got absorbed into the same Nigerian Military via the Operation Safe Corridor program me which has now turned into a gigantic monster for the Military itself and Nigerians generally as Boko Haram grows more daring in spite of the many lies of success by the Nigerian Military top echelon who now uses the war to accumulate wealth for themselves and families while young Military boys in their hundreds loses their lives in the war front every passing Week.
Daily Watch consistent effort to know why the Nigerian government even in a state of War with the dreaded Sect would foolishly be releasing hundreds and thousands of Boko Haram members in the name of de-radicalized program me and even getting thousands of others into the Military has not been adequately answered by anyone in the Buhari’s administration or the Military who have become silent over the shocking debacle that the Safe Corridor project has turned into.
While thousands of Military officers are daily complaining with few even boldly in the social media and newspapers knowing of the consequences (Court Marshalling) of such acts and several Nigerians even in the Social Media space on the suspicion that several of the absorbed Boko Boys in the Military are playing sensitive roles against the fight against terrorism yet the Federal government is still going on with the program me which days ago saw to the release of another set of Boko Haram suspects to the Borno state government that has sparked of serious tension and complaint by and from several notable Nigerians on the evil intent involved in the release even in the middle of serious battle and killings by the same sect all over the North East.
Daily Watch Managing Editor Ojigbo Lucky efforts to know from the government and the Military through the acting military PRO here in Abuja Musa Sagie why a project of such negativity is still shrouded in secrecy and been carried out yearly without Nigerians knowing the full details with mounting pressure from notable Nigerians and even top Military men for the stoppage been ignored but got no answer despite over five text messages to him.
Daily watch tried also to speak to President Buhari through his many spokes person for full disclosure on the criteria for releasing and enlisting de-radicalized sect members to Military and the Society but got solid silence from the them even after several text messages were sent to both parties thereby increasing the confusion behind the so called ‘Operation Safe Corridor’ and the r continual release of Boko Boys fighters into in to the Society and Military by the Buhari’s government in the phony name of De-radicalization
