LOKOJA-The immediate Past Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly Umar Ahmed Imams has yesterday dumped the APC for the SDP over what he termed as the derailment of the APC from the founding principles under which it came to Power.
Umar Ahmwd Imam who was the Immediate Past Speaker of Kogi state and one of the forces that helped the APC into power in the state officially called it quit with the party which he toil hard to build in Kogi state and opted to team up with the SDP.
Imam who is already plotting to contest the August 11th by election to fill in the Lokoja/Kogin Federal Constituency in the House of Representative is taking a shot under the SDP as against his former party the APC which he wholeheartedly described as a dead horse in Kogi state as all the known pillars in the state are dumping the party in droves due to the abysmal way the Party is not only be run but for deviating from the main course for which many opt to associate with the Party.
Daily Watch spoke to Ahmed Imam Ahmed in Kogi over his movement from the APC to the SDP and he confirmed same to Daily Watch and quick to add that he is already positioned to take the SDP with his thousands of followers to the winning ways in the state come August 11th when the state House of Representative By Election would be held.
