Governor Godwin Obaseki

The Edo state House of Assembly, EDHA, imbroglio, seems to be taking another dimension as the All Progressives Congress, APC, leaders in Esan Central local government area, in a meeting held recently, at the residence of Hon. Makor Shaka Momodu issued curses on the so called Esan Central APC leaders that commended the anti democratic activities of the Edo state governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, after his selective nocturnal and infamous inauguration of EDHA members elect that was conducted recently.

The leaders, who berated the actions of Hon. Makor Shaka Momodu, and
his cohorts for commending Obaseki, after collecting money to do so,
pronounced curses on allof those that went on the shameful solidarity
visit to the Obaseki and Frank Okiye.
According to the leaders, Rt. Hon. Victor Edoror, was never interested
in contesting for a third term to represent Esan central constituency
in EDHA, rather, wanted to contest for the Okpebholo Federal
Constituency position. He was asked to however step down and contest
for a third term with the condition and agreement that, he will emerge
the Speaker of the 7th EDHA assembly, only for Obaseki, Anselm Ojezua,
and others to overturn this agreement to suit their personal
The Esan central APC leaders, therefore took a stance that, on no
condition will they sell out any of their own for a pot of porridge as
they are solidly behind Edoror.

Ina phone interview with a prominent Peoples Democratic Congress, PDP,
leader in Irrua, who does not want his name mentioned, he said; ‘…what
is currently happening in Edo state political space, is a gradual
disintegration of APC in Edo state by Governor Godwin Obaseki, who
working on his ‘PLAN B” to retain the governorship position of
Edo stat. But, we are watching to see how it will all end…’
