#ENDSARS:  NDNAF hails Nigerians for peaceful protest

The National Leadership of the Niger Delta Nonviolence Agitators Forum (NDNAF) led by its national President, Wisdom Oniekpar Ikuli, commends Nigerians for their peaceful disposition while protesting against SARS and police brutality in the country.
The group in a statement signed by its national spokesman, Comrade Amatoru Victor and made available to Newsmen, Stated that they are in solidarity with Nigerians on the protests against SARS and police brutality in the country, urging the federal government to activate measures that would douse the current tension emanated from SARS officers and police brutality.
The group stated that while protesting to end SARS and police brutality in the country, cautioned Nigerian youths against violence and endeavor to use the nonviolence approaches and remain law abiding.
Amatoru advised Nigerian youths not to allow themselves to be used as willing tools by self serving politicians and foreign agents to further divide us.
“We are fully aware of so many Nigerians that has been brutalized at the hands of the police which is unacceptable. The Nigerian government must rise up to take its primary responsibility to protect Nigerians.
“We want to see positive actions from the federal government and stop giving Nigerians the impression of keeping deaf ears to our cries. Nigerians are deeply pained and so many Nigerians has been crying in silence due to police brutality.
” Nigerians are not asking for too much from the federal government. What they simply want at this point in time is the total reformation of the entire police force.
“We send our deepest condolences to the families of all those who have lost their lives at the hands of this wicked, senseless and emotionless police officers. And to those that has sustained injuries at the hands of these wicked police officers, we wish them speedy recovery,” he stated.
