*As Governor-Elect Obaseki, INEC Hails Security Agencies

National Association of Online Security News Publishers have commended the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, and the Edo State Commissioner of Police over the just concluded Gubernatorial peaceful election in the state.
The Association stated that the Officers of the Police and all other security agencies displayed Professional Conduct according to the Rules of Engagements, fairness in the discharge of their duty and robust civic relationship during the election.
The National president of NAOSNP, Mr.Oki Samson, made this known in Benin While addressing Newsmen, eulogised the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, the Nigeria Police Officers and particularly the host command headed by CP Johnson Kokumo for displaying professional conduct during the election.
Mr.Oki described the Edo Gubernatorial poll as one of the most Peaceful and violence-free election in recent elections despite the tensions and break of law and order envisaged ahead of the election.
“It is indeed worthy to give credit to the Nigeria Police Officers, the Nigerian Army and all the other security agencies deployed for the election”. he emphasised.
Shortly after his declaration as the Governor-Elect, Governor Godwin Obaseki showered encomium on the Security Agencies deployed for the Edo Poll, particularly the Nigeria Police, he said
“I thank the Nigeria Police and other Security Agencies for performing their constitutional functions deligently”
Collaborating Obaseki’s words, the Governor of Rivers State and Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Campaign council, Nyesom Wike said “we thank the Police and other security agencies for shunning partiality during the election”.
The Edo State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Johnson Alailebor praised the Security Agencies. “The Security operatives for partners in progress and have lived up to expectations. The success of this election won’t have been possible without the synergy among the law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders”, Alailebor stated.
