Newly inaugurated Delta State house of Assembly legislator from Burutu 11, Chief Peres Oloye has promised that he would not disappoint his constituents as well as Delta Ijaw for representing them in the Delta Assembly in his first tenure.
Oloye said while answering questions from journalists at the reception ceremony organized for the four Ijaw lawmakers by Delta Ijaw politicians at the legislators quarters, Asaba, Delta state.
Chief Imomotimi Guwor from Ogbe-Ijoh south West LGA emerged speaker at the maiden preliminary session of the newly inaugurated lawmakers.
Other Ijaw lawmakers are Hon. Emmanuel Senibe (Patani LGA) 2nd tenure, Hon. Preyor (PDP) 4th tenure from Bomadi LGA, Chief Peres Oloye PDP Burutu 11 (fresher) constituency and Hon. Alapala Anthony Ebitonmo of APC (fresher) Burutu North 1.
Oloye emphasized for the unity of Ijaw lawmakers in the assembly to make a common ground for the overall interest of the Ijaw nation and Delta state.
He said they would work closely with the new speaker Hon. Imomotimi Guwor and Delta state governor Chief Sheriff Oborevwori to make a better Delta state.
He thanked once again his constituents for given him the rare previlege to serve as legislator from Burutu south, pledging that he would never fail his constituents.
He however called for total support from every individual, including his opponents to work with him to actualize his dream of making Burutu and Delta Ijaw communities enjoy the dividends of democracy,.
