The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has sealed off three petrol stations in Yenagoa over suspected shady dea;s,the state capital.
The affected stations were sealed over offences bordering on under-dispensing and lack of basic operational equipments.
Assistance Chief Officer Administration, in the state field office, Mr Oshodi Prince
led a team of the regulatory agency on the exercise.
The affected filling stations were De arizona Nigeria limited, NIgerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) retail outlet and Sobaz Oil and Gas.
Mr.Prince said the exercise was carried out to ensure that fuel stations adhere to department of Petroleum resources regulations and standards.
Prince said: “We are here today to ensure that the public knows that petroleum products are in town, and should be gotten at government approved prices.
“Also that the product are dispensed at the right quantity. The petrol station sealed are for various in fractions.
“It means that their pumps were not dispensing appropriatly, that is why we seal them,” he said.
“As a department, we want to assure the general public that from now till January 2020, there will be enough product for everyone to buy.
“We have a zero tolerance for our in fractions, and because we have a supply chain and distribution network that is stable.
“There is enough product in our various depot in Port-Harcourt and Okgara in Delta state, supplying Yenagoa,” he stated.
