*As secret Ploy to recall and reinstate Director General finally hits brickwall.
*Despite interventions of Emirs, Presidency officer interventions.
SEC DG Gwazo Mounir
ABUJA- Despite every attempt made to free the suspended Director General of the Security and exchange Commission and reinstate him by an officer in conjunction with two Emirs from the North the ICPC against all odds has charged the DG to court for Corrupt practices.
The Dg who was suspended around November 2017 by the Minister for Finance on advice of a ministerial panel set up by the minister had asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commissions to investigate and charge the suspended Director General to court but surprisingly instead of doing just that ,the EFCC led by the Acting Chairman Magu refused until date to act on the file or investigate the case on the other of a close ally of the President whose office has become the new clearing house of all corruption cases by the EFCC under Magu,
The Dg who was almost recalled to office by the Presidency weeks back but for the expose by Daily Watch and other online outlet which gave front page expose on the plots by one of the Presidential Cabal member who was also involved in the MTN bribe Saga in cohorts with two Northern Emirs to recall the Suspended Gwarzo and reinstate like as was the case of the Dg of NHSIT who the chief of staff to the President and top presidency officers forced his recall even while investigations over his abuse of office and lootings were still ongoing.
Daily Watch investigations confirmed that but for the ICPC quick charge, the DG Gwazo Mounir is almost on his way back to office using the Emirs and his contact in the Presidency.
The Dg who got a three count charge in a Federal High court in Abuja on a charge marked Cr/185/18 accused the DG of stealing fraudulently over 115 Million Naira belonging to the government through dubious means.
According to the three count charge by the ICPC Gwarzo Mounir paid himself about 104 Million Naira Severance Allowance few days after his appointment abd also collected a 10 million nAira Car loan to himself contrary to section 19 of the Corruption and other related offence Act of 2000.
The DG was charged with one of his executive Commissioners in SEC Garuba Zakwa for aiding and abetting the looting is now sure to have his day in court contrary to the antics of the EFCC which had over the months not only killed the DG investigations but forwarded the files and all evidences to the office of the Chief of stff to the Presidency with the single intent of killing the cae.
Attempts to reach out to Wilson Uwujeren the EFCC spokesman on why this case which had been with the EFCC till date has remain uninvestigated or pushed to court was not possible as at the time of going to press.
