- Say Azaiye an embodiment of humility

WARRI- Delta State deputy governor, Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Chief Dan Ekpebide and others today have eulogized a philanthropist and architect, Chief Azaiye Piniki on his 50th birthday celebration, describing him as a man with total humility and commitment to give hope to the less privileged ones in the society.
Speaking at the occasion of the 50th birthday, the deputy governor of Delta state, Barr, Otuaro has noted that the Ijaw nation, especially Gbaramatu kingdom would not regret any amount spent in celebrating an illustrious son from the kingdom who he described as a founding member of the educational upliftment of the people of Gbaramatu kingdom in Delta State.
His words, ‘‘I want to use this opportunity to thank God for the life of a brother, Chief Azaiye Piniki, an architect by discipline. We in Gbaramatu cannot tell the educational foundation without making mention of his name. He and others have brought light to the kingdom with their educational contribution towards the youths in Gbaramatu. We have course to celebrate him for his contribution towards humanity, especially in education.
‘‘We are brothers from the same place, we attended the same University, Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Edo State. We slept in the same room and we are born in the same month. I just celebrated my 50th birthday two days ago. Chief Azaiye has positively touched the lives of many people in different ways’’ he said.
Chief Dan Ekpebide, pastor Emmie Oludele, Mayor Timi Ogobiri, a Niger Delta activist both in the same tune have praised the virtues of Chief Azaiyi Piniki for his care on the less privileged, especially for indigent students in Gbaramatu kingdom by giving a supportive hand to youths in the attainment of their educational careers.
‘‘There are very few persons like Chief Azaiye Piniki in his charitable attitude and humble character. That is why we are here celebrating him in this great gathering. He is an embodiment of humility, soft spoken and open mindedness. He is courageous also and God fearing ’’ they eulogized the celebrant.
The celebrant, the man at the center of attraction, Chief Azaiye expressed his gratitude to God and all the guests who gathered to celebrate him, especially his brother and deputy governor of Delta State, Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro who he also described as a man of humble character and open mindedness. He also thanked all members and founder and general overseer of Covenant Christian Pavillion (CCP), senior pastor Emmie Oludele for the wonderful prayers as well as honouring him with the church’s choir with very special melodious rendition of birthday songs at the ceremony.
He said he owed God the duty to support the less privileged people in the society with the little resources God has blessed him to glorify God. Stating that his background as a poor village brought up child gives the enthusiasm to praise God for helping the less privileged ones.
