Asaba: The speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has said that the Sixth State House of Assembly led by him as done very well in terms of legislation for good governance to all Deltans for the past 3 years.
Mr Sheriff made this known while briefing the press to mark the 3 years anniversary of the Sixth Assembly at the press centre in the Assembly complex, Asaba.
When asked about the relationship between the Executive and the Legislative arms of the government, the speaker noted that the Executive sees the legislature as his first constituency and that is the reason why the legislature and the Executive are enjoying harmonious working relationship since the inauguration of the Sixth Assembly.
The speaker also expressed his appreciation to the media for the roles they (media) are playing especially reporting and promoting the activities of the House since the inauguration of the Sixth Assembly. The speaker also appealled to journalist to always cross check their facts before going to the press, stressing that reporting sensational path is not salutary to the image of journalism.
He also commended his colleagues (Honourable members) for wonderful work for the past three years.
