WARRI- The chairmanship candidate of All Progressives Congress APC, in Okpe local government area, Hon. Eric Afe aka Agbaranugo, has promised the people of Okpe quality leadership if elected next chairman of the council on January 6.
Afe, who spoke to journalists yesterday in Warri, said he is confident of wining January 6, local government election in a free and fair election expected to be conducted by Delta State Independent Electoral Commission DSIEC.
He assured ” my major agenda is to provide an open government to accommodate every indigene of Okpe local government irrespective of political affiliation in the running and management of the council resources. If elected next chairman of Okpe council, I will ensure to render account regularly to the people of Okpe on the spendings of the council funds to promote confidence among Okpe people”.
Afe, noted that ” Okpe is blessed with abundant human and mineral resources, the people of Okpe local government needs someone who would transparently manage the funds of the council, provide employment and empowerment for youths, graduate and the elderly in the area. I have decided to serve my people and to provide their needs, hence they are voting for me and APC on January 6″.
The APC chairmanship candidate called on the people of Okpe to come out enmass on January 6 to cast their votes for him and APC, while urging the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission DSIEC to conduct a credible, free and fair election in Okpe local government.
