Delta community elects new executives, organizes thanksgiving

Enhwe Clan Development Union, Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State has elected new executives to pilot the affairs of the community for the next two years.
It also organized thanksgiving at St. Andrew Catholic, Enhwe to pray for High Chief Victor Egukawhore Wayles for attracting development to the community.
Those elected were: Chief Mike Ovie Ogodo РPresident General, Hon.Prince Issac Ohoror vice-president, Mr. Friday Abra РSecretary,  Deacon Matthew Okposo Assistant Secretary, Mr. Otomobor Owhoteri РFinancial Secretary, Lady Oghenekome Amuakpoyeri РTreasurer, Mr. Location Abikure -Speaker, Mr. Ofego Awolowo -Deputy Speaker, Mr. Oke Imoto РPublic Relations Officer.
Speaking to newsmen Chief Mike Ogodo who was elected unopposed for a second term said that, “We probably achieved substantially higher because the first two years we cut into teething problem.
According to him, “We have some division both within and outside and all have been resolved amicably, certainly we will do more this time around.
He also lamented that, one of the major challenge here is that people don’t trust you, they think when you are elected you will make money, you will block their opportunity and their political interest, I will not do such.
He opined that, he is not connected to any political faction in the community, stating that he will do something different in the community, that he is serving the community from his heart, he stated.
He reaffirmed that Enhwe community is safe in his hands, saying that wherever the indigenes of the community are staying been in Abuja, Benin, Lagos they know they have a President General who have the community at heart.
He lamented youths unemployment in the community, according to him, “Youths unemployment in the community is worrisome but thank God there is massive road construction taking place in the community in the community, is a positive thing to fast track development in the community.
Chief Ogodo also assured the community that the specialist hospital project will commence as quick as possible.
Meanwhile during the thanksgiving service at St Andrew Catholic Church, Enhwe, Chief Ogodo stated that they are thanking God for the gift of High Chief Victor Egukawhore Wayles and to let him know that the community is appreciative of what he is doing for them.
He prayed that God Almighty should keep him, protect him, bless and lift him so that he will continue to do more for the entire community.
Earlier on the Ovie of Enhwe Kingdom HRM Anthony Onomuefe Efekodha who was duly represented by Chief Enahoro Onowotu, the Ezomo of Enhwe Kingdom who declare the conference open stated that, they should organized the conference peacefully without rancour.
He enjoined the community to co-operate with whoever will be elected as the new President General of the community.
He reiterated that, peace and total co-operation is to attract meaningful development to the community, he stated.
