The wife of the Amanyanabo of Twon Brass Kingdom and President of the Royal Queens of the Niger Delta Initiative. Her Majesty, Dr. Josephine Diete-Spiff has led Twon Brass community to a one-day prayer conference in supplication to God for his mercy and protection against the ravaging Coronavirus pandemic.
The event, which was organized with the women of her Kingdom, the Excellent Women of Grand Twon Brass Kingdom, took place in the Community Town Hall in Twon Brass Kingdom. It was well attended by leaders of the community, clergymen, ministers, women, youths, and children who came out in large numbers.
According to Queen Diete-Spiff, the prayer conference was an opportunity for the people especially the women to kick start the year with prayers, draw closer to God, seek His face and pray for healing, sanctification, and help to stop the Covid -19 plaque ravaging the world.
Citing the books of 2 Chronicles 7:14-16 and Esther 4:16 in a message titled, “PRAYING WOMAN”, Queen Josephine noted that there is need for women in the kingdom to come together and pray as commanded by God in time like this, urging all women in the state to choose a particular hour of the day that is convenient for them and ensure that they pray for Bayelsa and Nigeria daily.
She said, “There are killings everywhere in this country, people are dying in their numbers. Our highways are no longer safe, our youths are abusing drugs, sickness is everywhere; Nigeria is witnessing Lassa Fever, Coronavirus; Covid-19. We cannot wait for it to get to us before we pray. We must pray now.
“God is the only One who has the power to turn trials into blessings. Our prayers is all we have, our voice must be heard. We must act now before it’s too late. God is our Deliverer.
“If there is someone to pray, there is a God to answer. God is waiting for us to call on him. God is able to bring great favor and blessings on our lives, even in hard places and hard times. God will always be faithful to lead us and to fight on our behalf. God is Sovereign over all, and He lovingly cares for His people.
“They prayed for themselves, for all present, the King, Queen, the Royal Highnesses, the Highnesses, the Elders, Chiefs, women, youths, and the children. They prayed for Bayelsa State and Nigeria as a whole. They cried to God for help to stop the plaque of Coronavirus, Lassa Fever and any impending disaster. It was a successful prayer program and everyone left feeling blessed.”
The event also hosted a guest prayer minister, Pastor Mrs. Josephine Amaechi who lead the congregation in a prayer session for the royal family, the state, youths; against drugs, kidnapping and cultism. The occasion also had prayers on economic growth of the kingdom and the state at large.
Her Majesty ended by saying that the prayer program will be a yearly event.
