House of representative
ABUJA-The House of Representative Committee on Disaster management and Preparedness has order the recall of the six Directors suspended by the NEMA board for opposing suspected and serial contract lootings by the Director General of NEMA Musterpher Maihaja.
Daily Watch reported days ago about how six directors of NEMA who opposed the fake and illegal contracts given to over 216 companies with the intent to loot several billions of Naira and how the EFCC that is supposed to investigate in a rather very strange way asked for the suspension of the six Directors from NEMA while allowing the DG in the storm to remain in his position to continue looting.
Te House Committee led by the Deputy Chairman Ali Isah lambasted the EFCC, the Board of NEMA headed by the Vice President and the head of Service Eyo Ita for their show of shame either by commission or omission in suspending the six Directors for opposing the lootings going on in NEMA while leaving behind the looter.
The committee immediately call for the recall of the Suspended six and summoned the EFCC Boss Magu for hurriedly calling for the suspension f the six while the DG who is supposed to be suspended and investigated remains in office, the committee also summoned the Vice President who is the Chairman of the NEMA board to explain how the board allowed serial contracts not captured in the NEMA budgets and awarded to companies said to be owned by the DG running to several Billions and rather than praised the six DGs went on to accept the suspension of the six DG while the thief is allowed to continue in office.
Also asked to appear for the suspension of the patriotic six DGs is the head of service Eyo Ita to help unravel how the suspension of the six was pulled through in spite of the patriotic opposition to the looting of NEMA.
Daily watch investigations in NEMA confirmed that the DG Musterpher Mahaija who is said to be boasting of his affinity to the powers that be is involved in several other monumental fraud and lootings in NEMA but always have a way out when he is caught, reported or petitioned to the EFCC or presidency.
Attempts to speak to the NEMA DG or his media aide was not possible as at the time of going to press.
