Commercial agriculture in Ekiti state has been given a major boost with the inauguration of the board of trustee and members of the youth in commercial agricultural development (ycad).
state governor and chairman of the board, Dr. Kayode fayemi disclosed the government’s readiness to support ycad but said it will steer clear of its running.
The governor who was represented by the secretary to the state government Biodun Oyebanji also charged the members of the board to shun corrupt practices and live up to expectations in order to give the agriculture sector a major facelift.
Members of the board said the inauguration was a step in the right direction towards fully incorporating ycad.
