Celtic Football Club have rejected Arsenal’s latest bid for its left-back Kieran Tierney.
Arsenal’s offer was worth in the region of £25m but it was understood Celtic were unhappy with the structure of the bid and wanted more cash upfront rather than in add-ons.
The Scottish champions were reluctant to sell their top asset unless the deal met their valuation.
Tierney – who has been restricted to nine appearances this year – has won four league titles, and played in two winning Scottish cup finals and two triumphant league cup finals for Celtic.
