“We are happy that we are showing that in Nigeria, people can willingly submit themselves to support a good course through working as volunteers.
Across the world, this has been the norm and thankfully Asaba and Delta state are also setting a good example for Nigeria and Africa as a whole”.The LOC boss noted.
On his part, Mr. Itemagbor said he has always been an advocate for volunteers at his Silver Labelled Okpekpe road race but right now he is ready to lead by example to actually work as a volunteer himself.
“We hope the younger ones can learn from us and chose to support great things like this, the fulfillment is in seeing this championship succeed and that supersedes any monetary gains and otherwise, ”he stated.
