Chief (Dr.) Julius Takeme (JP) the People Democratic Party (PDP) Burutu LGA cairmanship flag bearer has said that he would embark on rapid infrastructural and human capital development in communities in Burutu LGA, if given the mandate as elected chairman of the council area.
Takeme, a former commissioner in Delta state and PDP top notch, disclosed this during an exclusive interview with Daily Watch at his residence in Warri.
He stated, ” My election means so much to my people. I want to define politics as wealth creation to my people. There is so much hunger in the land. My victory will mean infrastructure and human capital development in all the wards in Burutu LGA.
” The jobless youths, men and women in my council area will be guven priority attention. We cannot embark on projects only without looking into critical area of joblessness and hunger in the land. Many youths will be engaged on skil acquisition training and when you graduate successfully, we will ensure you are given a starter pack for such lucky ones to start a meaningful life.
” My administration will have an open door policy and it will work in online with His Excellency MORE agenda to bring prosperity to all the communities in the council area. We will do our best to ensure people are happy.
” Wealth creation and empowerment programmes will take away the harsh economy in the land.’ He said.
He thanked the PDP leaders both state and council area, especially his Excellency, Governor of Delta state, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori for the opportunity granted to him to lead the party to rule Burutu after the general election. He was optimistic of his victory, noting that Burutu is a PDP KGA and it would be a family affair on the day of the general election.
He appealed to party leaders in the council area to throw aside whatever grievances and work together as a family to ensure PDP wins duringĀ the council pull.
