WARRI- Students under the aegis of Coalition of Delta State students have endorsed Comrade Ebitonmo Alapala Anthony, a philanthropist for Delta state house of assembly comes 2019 from Burutu North constituency over his openness/ youths empowerment with resources from his private businesses over the years.
Speaking Monday (today) in Warri at the campaign office of Alapala Ebitonmo Anthony, National President of the students Coalition, Comrade Ofure Onyeka who led other students said ‘‘We want to queue behind you. The coalition of Delta Students wants to endorse you and join your campaign organization in recognition of your services to humanity”
The coalition group was represented by comrade Ofure Onyeka, senior comrade Lucky Emonefe, comrade Precious Okoro, Comrade Ofe Ayemotse, Comrade Preye Kolokowei, Comrade Ese Ubuigherighe and several other students drawn from Delta State University, Abraka, College of Education, Warri and the Petroleum training Institute, Effurun were present to declare their unanimous support to Comrade Ebitonmo Delta State house of assembly ambition in 2019.
The Students said ‘‘We therefore, endorse you after exhausted deliberation and cross examination of your track record, a certificate of endorsement in recognition of your commitment of youths empowerment in communities in your Burutu LGA of Delta as well as selfless services to humanity to lead Burutu North constituency in the 2019 Delta State house of Assembly for effective and qualitative representation. You are a king of youths empowerment’’ the students said
The students assured Ebitonmo that as students union leaders across Delta State, they would give all necessary support as well as directing students in higher institution of learning in Burutu north to embrace and vote for him to realize the youths dream in Burutu North constituency.
Responding, Comrade Ebitonmo expressed joy and thanked the students for the wisdom and commitment towards his Delta assembly ambition. He pledged to lead robust and all-embracing qualitative leadership, if given the mandate in 2019 at the Delta State house of Assembly.
He noted that Burutu North communities will rejoice as he has made up his mind to break the secrecy and total darkness enveloping hundreds of millions of constituency projects by distributing them to the community fairly after due consultation with the community leaders to know their priority projects. He said supporters should not get worried as he would not withdraw his ambition for any of his co-contestants for any reason.
‘‘ I want to thank the students for their wisdom and commitment towards my ambition for the endorsement. I will not disappoint you as I will run an open door policy with sound, robust and qualitative representation in the Delta State House of assembly, if given the mandate by my people. As a law maker, I will sponsor bills and support motions that will help all Deltans, especially my local government area, I will lobby and influence projects to my constituency. I will not step down for anybody. I will contest and win or lose gallantly.
‘‘ If 100,000,000 naira worth of project is marked for development for Burutu North annually, I will consult with the community leaders to know what type of project they need before embarking on any constituency projects. You cannot in the name of assisting communities in your constituency, embark on street solar light in a community whereas the community needs school building or health centre as their priority project. If you embark on a project which does not solve the community’s need, it is as good as you have not done anything to solve the plight of the community. That is what is going on in our communities which I want to correct and Burutu north communities will not regret for voting me to represent them in Delta State house of assembly ’’ he promised.
