*Plots to again convinced President to stay with elongation hit brick wall

ABUJA- The reported new stance of the President Mohammadu Buhari over the one year elongation of the tenure of the present APC board led by Odigie Oyegun is said to have caught many ardent supporters of the APC Chairman unaware as key allies of the governors were not taken in to confidence before the President outburst in the NEC meeting
According to Daily Watch investigations, several of the men who influenced the President in the last minute to change from dissolving the Odigie Oyegun led board for elongation several Weeks back were said to have not been shcked ny the President u turn but where more shocked with their not been informed prior to the new game plans.
According to investigations, the trio of Amaechi Chibuike, Governor El-Rufai of Kaduna state and Yahaya Bello of Kogi states who were the arrow heads of the elongation of the Oyegun Odigie’s tenure were taken aback when the president disown the same elongation he (The President) so hurriedly at the behest of the trio pushed for when the Tinubu led Reconciliation committee was pushing for dissolution and a new election for the APC with a care taker committee to supervise the new elections .
According to investigations, the trio were said to have rushed to contact the President over his new plans as against elongation and were shocked to hear the President still insisting on abrogation of the elongation.
It would be recalled that the President before the Elongation bought into Bola Tinubu’s Reconciliation team initial report which called for the dissolution of the APC board as it accuses it of making its work difficult to which the President acceded to only to make a u turn just hours to the NEC meeting then after been visited by El Rufai, Amaechi and Yahaya Bello who then convinced him against the dissolution which they described as a ploy by Bola Tinubu to take over control of the Party for his own selfish ambition to which the president quickly acceded to only to now in less than a month again make a u turn back to the Bola Tinubu’s suggestion to the shock of the trio.
Attempts to reach out to Amaechi, El-Rufai and Yahaya Bello, the three arrow heads of the elongation game plans for their own selfish reasons that would have seen Oyegun recognizing and adopting their parallel factions in their respective states as the recognized APC structures was not possible as at press time.
