Nigerian soldiers again have set fire on Letugbene town in Ekeremor Local Government area of Bayelsa state.
This is the second Bayelsa town burn down by soldiers in Bayelsa beteeen January and February over suspected activities of seapirates in the state.
The National Coordinator of Ijaw People Development Initiative ( IPDI) Comrade Austin Ozobo condemned the activities of soldiers burning down Iajw communities at the slightest provocation by suspected criminals to burn down innocent and harmless Ijaw communities.
His words, it is not wise for a Nigeria well trained military personnel invading harmless Ijaw Communities because of military seapariates. Nigeria suddenly forgotten their works being trained as a security personnel .
“Nigerian believe strongly that , your primary duties as a security personnel is to protect lives and properties . Ijaw Communities are not at war with Nigeria military , while Burning our Communities all the time ?

He called on Rt.Hon.Fred Agbedi ,Hon.Stanley Braboke , the immediate past governor of Bayelsa State ,H.E Dickson Henry Seriake and other credible leaders of Bayelsa State to save the lives of common Ijaw communities in Bayelsa state from military brutality.
Meanwhile, Joint Task Force ( JTF) spokesman Niger Delta region Major Jonah declined comment when our reporter called to know why Ijaw communities are being set ablaze over the slightest provocation.
