BREAKING: Police arrest two Ijaw suspects over murder of Ijaw youth leader in Warri

Nigerian Police in Ovwian/Aladja division has yesterday arrested two suspects of Ijaw extraction in connection with the murder of Ijaw youth leader Comrade Famous Believe Wonikiri-ebi.

The Police made the arrest following investigation over the mysterious murder of the Ijaw youth leader Monday evening this week.

A senior police officer in Ovwian/Aladja  Police  station who pleaded not to be mentioned told Daily Watch on phone that  the arrest could help investigation  as  previous issues between them and the slained Ijaw youths leader which led to threats of life before his mysterous death by gunmen.

He said the police is looking for more suspects as their statements may help police further investigation into the root of the crime.

When we called the Delta state police commissioner, Mr. Mohammed Hafiz Inuwa for confrmation, the police boss said he is in official meeting with top officials of the Nigeria Police force and promised to get back to Daily  Watch.

Elder brother to the slained Ijaw youth, Hon. Sule Austin confirmed the arrest, said the police arrested two Ijaw boys from Egbema, an Ijaw kingdom in Delta state over their  recent threat to kill Comrade Famous Believe following transactions between them. He confirmed that the prime  suspects are four Ijaw speaking Ijaw youths which two are at large.

Meanwhile, Daily Watch discrete investigation of the scene of the crime investigative report (SCI) of suspected four Ijaw speaking assassins behind the murder of comrade Famous Believe which revelation triggered the current police arrest.

Delta state Police boss had vowed to leave no stone unturned to get to the root of the murder to make the culprits face the full weight of the law.

We learnt that three persons have been murdered in similar mysterious manner with gunshot in Polobobo community , including the current gun victim in Egbema kingdom, Warri North LGA, Delta state.
