BREAKING: IYC national President kidnapped, it’s stage-managed, says Izanzan camp

Barely few hours to the proposed mega protest on Wesnesday by Ijaw youths in Niger Delta against federal government failure to constitute substantive board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) National President of the Ijaw youths council (IYC) worldwide, Mr. Peter Igbifa was kidnapped Tuesday by gunmen in Port-Harcourt.


But a front line anti-corruption crusade group, Ijaw Interest group,popularly styled itself Izanzan camp, the national Coordinator of the group. Amb. Yerinmene Salaco jnr in his official Facebook page  had waved it down as mere stage managed media stunt. Saying the IYC President was never kidnapped and that they accused him as part of the corrupt system in NDDC as major beneficiary who is using his privileged position to hoodwinked Ijaw youths and people of Niger Delta.

Confirming the news of kidnap to Daily Watch, the IYC national media aide, Comrade Sam Ebolo said ” My boss was kidnapped by gun men in Port- Harcourt, perhaps as a result of the mega youths protest against NDDC and federal government perpetual delay of constituting a substantive NDDC board.”

Igbifa”s media aide noted that nothing will stop the planned protest as all arrangement have been put in place to carry out the protest in major cities in Niger Delta region.

He warned that his boss should be released immediately unhurt as there will be danger, if anything happens to his boss. According to him, nothing will stop tomorrow”s planned protest.
