A chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Sunday Frank Oputu, has been killed by gunmen suspected to be assassins.
Frank Oputu is a strong supporter of the Senator Heineken Lokpobiri whose faction is contesting the legality of the recently conducted ward, local government and state congresses of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in a Bayelsa State High Court.
The decease hail from Igbemotoru in the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state, he is said to be in his early fifties .
He was a former Chairman of the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) in the state.
Daily watch online gathered that the deceased was reportedly killed in an execution like style about 11:50pm yesterday at his Bay-Bridge residence, Yenezue-gene, Yenagoa.
