BENUE- The Death toll in the herdsmen Massacre in Benue state seem to be growing by the minute and day as more corpses are been discovered in farms, bushes and shallow graves.
The new Killing which is coming after a visit and a recent promise by the President to stop the killings in the North Central seem like a promise that would never be fulfilled as the heads seem to be having a field day in their killings, burning, raping and looting of villagers from Taraba to Kaduna straight to Benue state.
Daily Watch confirmed that the new killings occur when the headsmen stormed two Benue Villages in Military Uniform and shooting at everything in sight.
According to eye witness account, the headsmen hit at the Kuru kuru mining Village site in Anka Local Government Area of Benue state killing all in sight and also ambushed people from Jarkuka village who were mobilizing and on a mission to help the people of Kurukuru.
It would be recalled that before now the headsmen attacked Bawari Daji in the same Anka local Government area two weeks ago in which over 30 persons were slaughtered like cows and returned the next day after killing 30 persons to kill those who gathered to mourn the dead.
The spokesman to Governor Ortom Terve Akase confirmed the continual attack still going on in the state and the killings. The commissioner of police Fatai Owoseni also confirmed the story and killings ongoing in the state.
