*Military is in Benue not for Operation but a mere exercise
*We had expected actions and orders that would have seen IDPs return to their base but disappointed

BENUE- A renown Traditional ruler in Benue State Chief Edward Ujege the paramount ruler of Mdzough U Tiv of Benue has come out hard on President Mohammadu Buhari and his highly publicized Visit to Benue state which to the People of the state has not achieved any purpose or changed their predicament in any way.
The erudite traditional ruler who described the attack before and after the President visit as barbaric and wickedness personified advised Nigerians to brace up for hunger since the herdsmen have not just been killing Benue People who are predominately farmers but destroying several farms and farming settlements which would result in food shortages and crisis soon if not tackled.
According to the traditional ruler much was expected prior to the President Visit as the Benue people felt things would change once the President visit but the reverse seem to be the case as the visit brought nothing important of beneficial of good to the people of the state other than just a publicity stunt for the President and his team.
He described what the Military is doing in Benue State as not coming to hunt and deal with the Herdsmen but rather just coming for a mere exercise.
In his words ‘’A military Operation is more intense, pragmatic and result oriented because they will make sure that they arrest, disarm, kill or death with all invaders but till date we do not know why their presence has been changed o a mere exercise and who changed it that way’’
Continuing the noble monarch said that ‘‘The president Visit to Benue we had hope would change things for the better with IDPs returning to the ancestral home. We asked for Security for the IDPs to return but nothing like that happened till date, so I don’t know or understand how the president does his things or operates, maybe he has his own way of doing things but to be frank we in Benue had expected more from him’’
The traditional Ruler took a swipe at the president whom according to him they expect as a father of all to proffer solutions but shockingly did not say or do anything significant to give succour or relief to the IDPs to return home or the families of the over 200 so far killed since the beginning of 2018 alone.
