Bayelsa: Woman who escapes kidnap attempt, says her life in danger

A 38 year old woman, Miss Lucky Akuna  has reportedy escaped a kidnap attempt in her residence in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. Lamented that he life is in danger.



It was gathered that gunmen suspected to be kidnappers stormed her residence in Yenizue-Gene suburb of the state capital at about 7: pm, apparently in search of her but met her absence as she was not at home.


According to eye witnesses, the gunmen numbering about five, came in a black jeep, shot sporadically to scare onlookers before raiding her apartment, but did not made away with any valuables, fueling speculations that they came to abduct her.


Her brother identified as James, who lives within the suburb told Daily Watch  that her sister, an indigene of Delta State, has been a victim of kidnappers in recent time, adding that she has been abducted twice and only released after ransom was paid.


In a chat with Daily Watch,  Miss Akuna, said: “My life is at risk,  I don’t know who is after my life, I don’t feel safe anymore here, I have been abducted twice, I have been advised to relocate, though I have lodged a complaint at the police station.”
