Bayelsa Poll: Diriyai pledges massive infrastructure devt , if elected

The Accord Party candidate for the governorship election in Bayelsa, Mr Ebizimo Diriyai, has pledged to complete the Water Project, Teacher Training College all in Okordia, Zarama and Beseni, in Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa State.

He equally promised to give free education for Primary and Secondary schools the needed priority if elected into office as governor.

 

Biriyai, made the pledge when his campaign train visited some parts of  Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa, he also assured the people of his commitment to transform the state.

 

The Accord Party governorship flag bearer, who solicited for the people’s support, appealed for their votes in the election and promised to uplift their wellbeing.

 

He said the Accord Party was the only party that could take them to the next level, and give them their heart desires.

 

Ebizimo equally promised to establish small scale businesses for women in the area, and to ensure that oil companies operating in the area, do the right thing for the host communities.

 

At Amasomma, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, he assured students of the Niger Delta University (NDU) that his administration will ensure that school fees will be slashed down and that their busary will be paid annually as when due.

 

The Paramount Ruler of Zarama Clan, King Ready Nionio while receiving the governorship candidate urged him to fulfill his promise as the people are ready to support him.

 

He said from time memorial politicians have been making different promises to them without fulfilling them, adding that this should not be just one of those empty campaign promises.

 

At Okordia, the Paramount Ruler of the Clan, Richard Seiba, appealed to the governorship candidate to ensure that he recognise them as first class kings as they are heading clans.

 

He urged the Accord party candidate to complete all abandoned projects situated in the area starting from the military administration.

 

Also speaking, the Chairman of Accord Party in Bayelse Mr Victor Fisi, while addressing the crowd, said the candidate was carefully selected due to his antecedent, as a retired Judicial worker.

 

He said Ebizimo is the best candidate as a Pastor with Salvation Ministry in Port-Harcourt, and he will fulfill his promise to the people of Bayelsa.

 

In his remarks, the Director-General of the campaign team, Dr. Robert Faith, described  the Accord candidate as “the best for the job”.

 

Faith said he had  done well for his people and called on them to vote the Accord candidate.
