A veteran journalist, elder Ayodele Oni has joined the Daily Watch Newspaper editorial board. This was part of a recent nationwide recruitment exercise carried out by the management to expand its scope and coverage.
The publisher/ Editor in Chief, Cletus Opukeme,in a statement said, he recommended Ayodele Oni for the editorial board of the Newspaper because he want to make a difference from the others. He is a square pole in a square hole who believed in the experience of the seasoned journalist to boost the newspaper quality cobtrol.
Ayodele Oni, who will be 58 years old on August 8, 2019, has worked with several media organizations in the country after his graduation at the Nigeria Institute of Journalism, Lagos.
He started his journalism career at Ondo State Broadcasting Corporation as a Sub Editor and later left to join Concord Press Ltd.
Ayodele, an indigene of Eda Oniyo in Ekiti state, was at one time a government house correspondent for Ondo state owned tabloid, The Hope.
He also had a stint with the Westerner magazine as Chief.Correspondent, Ondo. He left there to join The Source magazine as South West Bureau Chief, where he was until recently.
He has freelanced with some online publications including The Sketch online before he decided to join the team of Daily Watch.
He is equally a graduate of Ekiti state University and married with children.
