YENAGOA- A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Hon. Osomkime Blankson has raised alarm over alleged distortion of Independent National Electoral Commission’s voters registration process in Bayelsa state.
Blankson in a statement made available to newsmen in Yenagoa said the INEC in Bayelsa state has, against the directives of its national office made permanent voters registration centers in the Local Government Areas instead of temporary rotational centers in what he says would have effectively captured more would-be voters.
Osomkime said the unabashed defiance of the National’s directive in Bayelsa state is not accidental but rather a deliberate ploy in disenfranchising good number of Bayelsans willing to vote come 2019
He urged INEC Bayelsa state to adhere to the dictates of the National and direct the Administrative secretaries, the LGA Election officers to begin the recommended rotation of registration centers.
