TOAN has warned those involved in tricycle to cause insecurity and criminality would face the full weight of the law.
The chairman Tricycle owners Association of Nigeria, (TOAN) Akwa Ibom State Chapter, Comrade Effiong Effiong has advised those planning and promote criminality, insecurity with tricycle to rub mud on the association name should desist for their own interest before facing the consequence and full weight of the law.
Comrade Effiong Effiong spoke with media practitioners in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area during the official commissioning of TOAN Ikot Ekpene Branch/Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.
The chairman said towards the development they would not leave any stone unturn as far as the association integrity is concerned will partner with security agents to eradicate such ménage in the society for the sake of our passengers and citizens.
“our members cannot and would not associate with such development because we have float out seminars, workshop educating them properly on their profession especially the ethics or rules and regulation to operate their business with integrity showcasing good character with their client or passengers for effective transportation system“
He used the medium to advised his members to take advantage of buying their tickets which would enable them operate across the state without any molestation on them but always the law abiding citizens not to cause any problem during their operation while they always partner with government to showcase effective transportation system.
The Chairman Amalmageted commercial tricycle owners riders repairs association of Nigeria, Comrade Victor Ezekiel has commended them for their ability to frustrate criminality and insecurity on those using tricycle to tarnish the image of the organization while advise them not to relent despite the challenge but would succeed towards their struggle partnering with the security agents.
He used the medium to called on the federal government not to relent for the registration of tricycle across the country which would fish out those promoting or encouraging criminality and to cause insecurity with tricycle across the country while they always support government programme for them.
The village head of Ikot Udo Uso in Etoi Clan, Eteidung Usen Effiong Jimmy has commended governor Udom Emmanuel administration especially the Dakkada Philosophy and industrializing the state to become industrial heaven that would attract local and foreign investors across the globe.
Eteidung Usen Effiong Jimmy stated this while speaking with journalists shortly after the anniversary and thanksgiving service of the coordinator Tricycle (Keke) of the Nigerian Union of Road transport Workers in Uruan Local Government Area.
The village Head said the Dakkada spirit would assist the state tremendously where our youths would engage in meaningful activities that would frustrate criminality while as a Chief has emulate the Governor’s Dakkada Philosophy of training youths in different venture to succeed in lives and also advice them to be law abiding to become responsible citizen in the society.
The Royal Father who is also the public relation officer of Etoi Clan Council said despite the development run and open administration without discriminating irrespective of religion or tribe and assure his people of not disappointing them giving them effective traditional governance where they would also contribute their quote for the development of their community while commended the village support on his rulership which led to his celebration and recognition as village head to significantly put his flag and sign post for recognition as the village head of Ikot Udo Uso in Etoi clan, Uyo Local Government Area.
He used the medium to commend government developmental strive and called on the government to extend hand of fellowship to his community especially the area of road lead to shelter afrique and its environment which would attract economic activities across the community.
Eteidung said his community has been supporting government programme without any controversy while remind government to recognize his village which had been omitted despite that has not cause any problem or crises towards the development as they are respected law abiding citizens which always support government of the day and believe government as soon as possible will look into their issue for justice to be done.
He commended the councilor representing them for his tremendous hardwork done in the ward especially bringing two pulling units in their area showcase his effective representation on them which has exhibited transparency in his tenure and the community has confident in him without disappointing them in the ward while call on his people to always support government programe.
