The Independent marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) Akwa Ibom branch, has warmed black market dealers over their activities of adulterating petroleum products to generate more profit over their selfish interest to desist before face the weight of the law.
The Chairman IPAM Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Ubong Isong gave the warning while speaking with Journalists in Uyo. The Chairman said their activities and motive has raise a lot of dust across the State, which Citizens are complaining bitterly over their act which has become so worrisome to the public need urgent attention to stop the situation before its goes out of hands.
According to him, the integrity of IPAM is at stake over their attitude because this fuels where bought from IPAM members filling station as the public may attribute the source of the product trying to rub mod on the Association name over their criminal activities that why put the information across for members of the public to have carnal knowledge of what they are doing when selling the product at the road side.
“The business they operate is a crime because they don’t have any license to that effect while also advice the public not to patronize their business to avoid the entire mess. We would not tolerate such action again from them for the sake of the public despite our challenges would not relent to achieve our purpose as far as our Association is concern.
IPAM Boss said their members are properly educated and cannot encourage such activities because they understand the consequent as the Association always upgrade their knowledge in the sector through seminar, workshop campaign against the adulteration of petroleum product.
He thanked the Government for the courage they have put so far to fight against the Covid -19 Pandemic despite the challenges experience should not relent to achieve their mission to eradicate the Pandemic for the Citizens to witness free Pandemic State.
