A’Ibom: Govt. sets to tackle insecurity in Public Secondary Schools

Akwa Ibom Government would not fail to tackle insecurity in Public Secondary School across the State.

The Chairman Akwa Ibom State Secondary Education Board, Rt. Hon. Ekaette Ebong Okon made this known in an interview with Media Practitioners shortly after a 3-day Sensitization Seminar on Insecurity in Public Schools in Uyo.

 

With the Theme Insecurity in Public Secondary Schools in Akwa Ibom State.

 

The board Chairman said it is necessary to tackle the issue as it would create peaceful learning environment for the student without witnessing and the experience any threat for them to achieve their educational pursuit.

 

According to her, despite the uphill task government would not relent for them to achieve their educational dreams while the parents also have vital role to play over their children’s education and make sure educate them to exhibit good character not to associate with bad company.

 

The President of Ancops Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Steve Akpabio commended Akwa Ibom State Secondary Education Board for their tremendous hardwork to make sure insecurity be tackle across schools in the State while they would do their best to make sure mould the students to have good character for them to become good leaders in future.

 

He used the medium to appeal for Akwa Ibom State Secondary Education Board to permit them carry out biometric capture of students across the state which would go a long way to identify or fish out any student that involve or ferment crisis easily.

 

The special assistant to the governor on education monitoring, Mr. Udeme Udofia said insecurity is a threat to our children’s education and government would not fail to protect them without accommodating such development to jeopardize their educational carrier and commended the governor for being educational friendly governor.
