Akwa Ibom government specifically employed three thousand teachers with NCE certificate, as they would groom and trained them according to the international best practice of teaching profession acceptable across the globe.
The chairman Akwa Ibom State Universal Basic Education Board,SUBEB, Prof. Maria Ikorok made this known while answering question from the newly recruited NCE primary school teachers of Uyo Senatorial District during their orientation seminar in Uyo. She said the development would surely boost our primary education and discovered lapses to decline government effort to provide qualitative education, that why it is necessary to employed NCE teachers starting from the grassroot of education in grooming them and train them without living any stone unturn as government are serious over the issue of education, towards development, pay salaries as at when due for workers to smile without owing any dine
”The orientation seminar would surely educate them how to behave with the host community, children, community leaders, village head, church leaders where they have been post to carry out their professional duty while commending them for their massive turn-out and continue to keep it.
Earlier, Akwa Ibom State commissioner for Education, Prof. Nse Essien has advise the newly recruited NCE primary schools teachers to take advantage of the orientation seminar for their own good which would help them to exhibit good character, discipline, truthful, and have passion over their profession, understanding there is always an award for the best teacher in the country and believe with this orientation seminar Akwa Ibom would be fished out to win the price. He believe the training would assit them to cover their lapses in improving their professional knowledge.
The newly employed NCE teacher, Mrs Joy Ekanem Udoh commended the state government for their initiative to train them following the international best practice of their profession and believe they would not failed them where the teachers and government would smile while called on other states to emulate Akwa Ibom.
