A’Ibom: Christians pray against bloodbath in election

Christians should pray fervently for peaceful election not to experience bloodbath by desperate politicians come 2023 election in the State and the nation at large.



The Area Chairman of United Evangelical Church, Rev. (Dr) Usen Alexander gave the advice while speaking with Journalists during the 135th International Annual Conference and special Anniversary celebration of United Evangelical Church in Uyo.


With the theme More Great Things of Glances


The Area Chairman used the medium advice Christians and Nigerians to be law abiding citizens not to associate with violence or crisis during the election rather use their permanent Voters Card wisely to elect Leaders who have the People’s Welfare and have passion for the country to provide dividend of Democracy for her citizens.


According to him, should not relent continue to pray for peaceful election that the Almighty God would grant their prayers understanding whenever Christians pray God has never fail them and believe we would experience and witness peaceful election.


The Conference Chairman, Rev. (Dr) Samuel Ebukiba said the Conference has been used to pray for the country to witness non-violence election as prayer surely moves mountain without compromise acknowledging God would extend hand of fellowship towards development at hand.


He used the opportunity said God has elevated the Church to a position of honour in the secular and ecumenical communities as we must step up our performance ecclesiastically and finance otherwise.


The Chairman Local Organizing Committee, Rev. Ema Ebong commended the Church for not relenting despite the uphill task still pray for the nation fervently to experience peaceful election to choose Leaders of integrity that have passion for the nation to provide Democratic dividend for her citizen without compromise while the issue of insecurity would be tackle by God’s grace to generate unity, love, among us as people despite that the Conference has lift up members spiritual lives, blessings couple with the theme of the Conference showcasing greats things to come in the vineyard.
