The Ntisong Ibibio III, HRM OBONG (DR) ESSIEN U. EKIDEM has called on federal government to create out modelities for our refineriesto be enable refined crude oil in the country

The monarch made the call at the 2nd annual general meeting/investiture of fossccima president in uyo. Explaining the significances and benefits the country would derived if the crude oil is refined in the country.

The royal father said despite the challenges should not relent to achieve the purpose of having the refineries rather than refining crude oil outside the country to experience high cost of petroleum product and other product which is not a welcome development may witness citizens suffering and hardship over the product which God has blessed us with natural resources

“If the crude oil is refine in the country would surely have enough product across the country where Nigerians would experience suffering and hardship towards scarcity of the product in the country.

The Ntisong Ibibio III who is also the UKO ENIN IBIBIO and OBOM IBIBIO believed federal government would take drastic step towards achieving the purpose of having those refineries to boast our economy.

He used the medium to advise fossccima to unite and focus to make sure south south becomes industrial heaven that would attract local and foreign investors across Africa and the globe at large.

He commended fossccima for their giant step taken to make sure poverty reduce to the bearest minimum and especially through their hard work the citizens would witness massive employment across the south south and believe the 2nd annual general meeting would yield positive reports for the benefits of the people of south south and Nigeria at large.
