A’Ibom Govt. Biometric Capture of Tricycle would frustrate criminality and insecurity across the State
The Tricycle owners association of Nigeria Akwa Ibom Chapter (TOAN) said the Government Biometric Capture of Tricycle would frustrate criminality and insecurity for citizens to experience effective transportation system in the State.
The State Chairman Comrade Effiong Effiong stated this while speaking with journalists in Uyo over the issue of Biometric Capture of Tricycle in the State.
The Chairman advised his members to take advantage on the biometric capture exercise for their own interest, as it would disassociate them from non members especially those involved in criminality while they always support government programme without causing any problem as law abiding citizens who concentrate on their business.
According to him, the biometric capture would also assist to protect their integrity as an association and appeal for government to reduce the new registration amount from four thousand naira to two thousand naira while one thousand five hundred for renewal fees understanding the economy is not friendly with them and believe government would understand their plight.
He acknowledged that they have cordial relationship with the ministry of transport to make sure there is standard in the state transportation sector for others to emulate showcasing a transportation system that meet up international standard across the globe.
Mr. Effiong used the medium told journalists that his administration showcase open door policy across his members for them also to contribute their quota for the development of the association without any discrimination irrespective of ethnicity or religion especially embrace members.
He said his association always support government and are ready to work with them to actualize the dream of effective transportation system in the state but as a body also educate her members the ethics or rules to carefully follow for the sake of their business.
