*Threatens to return for more robbery and killings
ZAMFARA-Bandits suspected to be herdsmen again hit hard at a village called Milikawa Village of Gidan Goga district in Maradun Local Government area of Zamfara state slaughtering over 30 persons.
The killers who were armed with diverse automatic weapons were said to have first stormed the village killing five men who went to their farms to plant grains and seeds only to return in full force later when the Villagers were taking the corpses of th five killed for burial and slaughtered another 25 persons in the same village.
As if possessed by a spirit of mass killing, the same sets of headsmen stormed the village with the intent to kill more when the newly massacred would be taken for burial but for the arrival of some Military personnel who stood by for the burial of the 30 slaughtered to be given their due burial rites but that did not stop the marauders from sending emissaries that they would be back to complete what they started in the Village in another date and day.
This latest killings has up the total killings in and around the local government since February to over 189 persons.
Daily Watch spoke to DSP Shehu Mohammed of the Zamfara Stat police Command who confirmed the killings but could not actually ascertain the total figures as at the time Daily Watch spoke with him and also described the killings as mere clashes between two factions of the community over land dispute .
This Story of DSP Shehu Mohammed about communal clash was disputed by an elder of the Gidem Goga Village, Alfred David who described the consistent lies and cover ups by the Police and Military as disgraceful and saddening because their own relations are not among the slaughtered since if they have relations killed in this cool blooded manner they wouldn’t join in the many lies they churn out daily and weekly to hide the killers.
