Ijaw National Congress (INC) has said the Committee set by Alaowei Broderick Bozimor on consensus governorship aspirant has been received.
That the report is to enable the Ijaw come up with a single acceptable aspirant to go for the general governorship primaries and the general election comes 2023.
According to the INC National Publicity Secretary Engr. Ezonebi Oyakemeagbegha in his official statement, said ”It has come to the notice of the INC of recent online publications making rounds on the social media as regards the Sole Governorship aspirant.
INC spokesman said the Committee report is headed by erudite Professor Victor Peretomode has been formally presented to the INC leadership ready and it will be presented to various stakeholders for scrutiny before it be published for the general public.
”The INC wish to state that, the report of the committee set up by the Alaowei team headed by Prof Peretomone has been received.
” The recommendations shall soon be made public after presenting the same to a few critical stakeholders.” He noted.
”This should be seen as the first official statement of the INC President on this matter.
”The INC which to assure the Ijaw nation of its total commitment to this project
”The INC calls for total unity and advises that we remain calm while we wait for the needful” The statement added.
