A frontline Delta State House of Assembly aspirant from People Democratic Party (PDP) in Burutu South Constituency (11) High Chief Peres Oloye has promised to put smile in the faces of Burutu LGA, if given the mandate to represent the constituency in the 2023 Delta State House of Assembly.
Hon. Oloye disclosed this yesterday in Warri during a meeting with the delegates in Burutu South PDP ahead of the party primaries coming soon.
According to Oloye, ”’ I have chosen to be on the path of truth and integrity as my lifestyle over the years. That was a preparation for a great task like this to represent the good people of Burutu constituency 11 in Delta state house of Assembly 2023 to join other brains to make a robust legislative business for the betterment of my people and the entire Delta state.
” I will run an open door policy. How do I achieve that, my phone number will be open at all times to build a strong bridge with my people. Apart from that I will create interactive sessions through town hall meetings and constituency office to interface with my people. Intact. I have learned the act of people oriented lawmaking mechanism all my life and that had given me a preparatory class with great experience as a prospective legislator. I have been a student of state legislative business in very high capacity for several years. That was an added advantage for me. As we will make the laws, , my Burutu people cannot be in empty stomachs, So, I will ensure, I carry out human capacity empowered programmes. This will engage both men, women and the youths in general. Then, infrastructure development will form the bedrock of my ambition to bring development as a representative throughout my stay in the Delta State House of Assembly, if my people vote me.” He assured.
Speaking on behalf of Burutu South constituency 11 delegates, Mr. Akpoebide Ebimienotubo, Barr. Ebikefe Suokare, Lawson Ogei and Hon. Clement Ereide expressed joy for the declaration of interest of high Chief Peres Oloye to contest and represent the good people of Burutu constituency 11 in the Delta state house of assembly. They promised to give him their support and cautioned him not to tow the path of others who represented the constituency in Delta state of Assembly and abandoned the electorates after electoral victory. They praised Oloye as man who has shown high capacity in different human endeavour and hoped that he would continue to show his intergrity, if given the mandate.
They also admonished him to dig deep into the party leadership, assuring that PDP plays free, fair and credible selection process of parry’s flag bearers that he would enjoy the same party’s unbiased leadership during party primaries of all political offices in the local government in the coming primary and general election.
