The Chairman of Delta state sports Commission,DSSC, Chief Tonobok Okowa has said that they are committed to build a standard sports facilities that will last the test of time.
Tonobok who doubles as President Athletic Federation Of Nigeria, AFN point that the upgrade of the Stephen Keshi staduim will enhance the status of the staduim to remain one of the best in Nigeria.
He however downplay the collapsed of a small session under construction that was published on various media.
“We are too experienced to be distracted at this moment when political elections is at the corner”.
“It is not strange when a small part of a construction site got broken as a been hit by a tractor during working hours”.
“We cannot be distracted against our target to complete this staduim on the 20th of November, as promised to the minister of Youth and Sports,Sunday Dare”.
“Our workers are working Night and day to meet up the target.
“Delta state under the leadership of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is committed to host the best ever National Sports Festival this year”.
The National sports festival is expected to commence November 28 to December 10th across parts of Delta state.
