UGHELLI- Olorogun (Barr) Charles Ufuoma Obule, the Erhi Of Okpe Kingdom  has officially declared his intention to vie for the post of  Delta Central Senatorial District to put up an effective representation in the existing gap for the Urhobo nation in the red chambers of the National Assembly.

Olorogun Charles Obule  was accompanied by his wife, Chief  Rosemary Obule, prominent Urhobo Leaders of  the likes of Olorogun (Bar) Emmanuel Okpako Ganiga, National Presidend, UPU   United kingdom, Chief Felix Anirah,Chief Joe Egigba , representatives of the  Orodje of Okpe and  many other prominent  Urhobo political elites.
While making his declaration Mandate for the senate at the Country home of P.D.O  Akpeki before the leaders, elders and the mammoth crowd of supporters who thronged the premises,  Chief Obule made it clear in his speech that he responded to the call of his people to come back to politics to deliver quality service in official capacity to the good people of Urhobo land.
Chief Obule, the Delta Central Senatorial hopeful explained in his declaration speech that, he consulted far and wide before coming formally to the sapele LGA leadership.

Specifically, he disclosed that he consulted  Chief James Onanefe Ibori  former Governor of Delta State our leader who is a major factor in Delta politics who gave him the green light that  gingered him to set the ship sailing for the  Delta Central Senatorial seat.

To attest to the  fact that Charles Obule is truly committed to the development of Urhobo land , he recalled  the effort  he put into the  Urhobo unity hall at Uvwiamuge Agbarho in 2007 , the mosogar civic centre with a promise to more for the Urhobo  people if elected senator come 2019.
Speaking further , he reeled out a dossier of some of the good works  he has been doing in his private capacity through the Obule Group of Schools and the medical centre which he is using  massively in subsidizing health, educational infrasturucture, scholarship and other anciliary services that affect the masses positively.

Chief Obule emphasized that his coming into the senatorial race is a new dawn for the Urhobo people because he is not coming for mudane materials which he already have but to give true and quality development not the type of going to markets to give stipends and buy cars for selected few individuals which does not touch the masses directly.

Obule who identified what is happening in Delta central as a shame said; “what is happening right now in Delta central is a shame, a gap is created because our amiable governor Okowa is finding it difficult to work with the opposition in Delta central senatorial district, hence I am coming to correct that anomaly and remove the palpable fear. To do that, we need the best of the first eleven which I represents.”

The senatorial hopeful reaffirmed in his statement that with God and the support of the Urhobo people, he will deplore his requisite knowledge as a tested lawyer with 38 years of experience in the discharge of his legislative assignments. He also advice opinion leaders on the need to elect candidates with pedigree for service and to ensure that pretenders and those who take politics as business are weeded out so that the Urhobo nation can receive their due evidence of democracy.

Chief Dr. David Oghenekevwe, the chairman P.D.P Sapele L.G.A in his response observe that the grace of God is upon Charles Obule noting that all the leaders, elders and elites are solidly behind the Obule for senate projects. He however advised Obule to navigate with the party structures.

Hon. Chief Austin Ayemidejor special project director Asaba International Airport who also responded assarted that Charles Obule have an edge in the race because he is humble, already delivering dividends of democracy in Urhobo land in private capacity to the admiration of all. Ayemidejor who particularly praised the effort of Obule for the unity and victory of PDP in Sapele LGA said he will not hesitate to queue behind and defend the Obule senatorial mandate with all his might. He emphasized that Obule can be rtest assured that the new template of PDP favours his ambition and all leaders in Sapele will work for the actualization of his dream of becoming senator come 2019.

Chief egigba a strong political icon in Sapele in his response express joy as he describe the emergence of Obule into the senatorial race as the “presence of a successor.” Chief Egigba in his summation said Obule is the best choice to fill the Delta central sit so that all the deficiencies that are prevalent today in Delta central will be a thing of the past.

Hon. Joyce Overah, the Delta state commissioner for local government and chieftancy affairs while making his comment on the Obule senatorial mandate said; “Obule is humility epitomized with all his wealth he not carried away but always determined to serve the people. we are lucky to have in the race, so we are giving Obule our total support because he is like the union bank big, strong and reliable.

Chief Mrs Magaret Unukegwo, who corroborated the views of the earlier speakers said; “Charles Obule for senate is God’s projects, it is also our projects, we will run with him to victory. The reason we got it wrong before now was division amongst ourselves. Now that we are united for one purpose, we all must stand on obule for senate no more no less.

Hon. Chief Felix Anirah who also concurred with other leaders on the Obule mandate said; “Charles Obule is the most viable and credible candidate who can take the Urhobos of delta central from the political wilderness to the promise land.

Chife P.D.O Akpeki, the Ugo of Okpe Kingdom, Chief strategist to the Delta state government in his prayerful remark said; “at the appointed time Isaac blessed Jacob in the same token at this appointed time I am blessing Charles Obule in like manner to succeed in his senatorial bid.
