Comrade Frank Ufuoma Esanubi
WARRI-The Delta State Action Democratic Party, ADP governorship aspirant, Comrade Frank Ufuoma Esanubi has promised that, if given the mandate to rule Delta state as executive governor in 2019, he would take Delta state from the current stagnation, poverty and hunger in the state.
He said he would retire the Delta State Governor, Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa to retire from politics especially after spending twenty years in active politics from councillor.
Esanubi made the pledge today during a chat with the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Warri Correspondents’ Chapel “State of the Nation” programme in Warri.
Esanubi who was flanked by some members of his campaign organization said people above sixty years of age and those who have spent thirty five years of service in government ought to play advisory roles at the backgrounds.
Esanubi who said he is out to do the right thing stressed that governor Okowa deserves to retire from politics.
In his words, “If Governor Okowa who started as a councillor, later as chairman, commissioner, SSG,Senator and Governor for almost twenty years, he deserves to be retired and we desire to retire him.”
Esanubi lamented that several companies including oil multinational, Shell Petroleum Development Company,SPDC have left Warri and other major cities in Delta State stressing, “Warri is no longer the Warri we use to know.”
Esanubi who boasted that the people of Delta State are his structure and godfather promised to revive dwindling agricultural and educational sector. Also, he promised to revive the Warri, Sapele,Burutu and Koko Ports with the dredging of the waterways leading to the ports as well as provide economic empowerment and free education to the people.
Esanubi also promised that his administration will encourage sports and improve on the existing airports to make Delta State the hub of air transportation.
While noting that ADP will bring people together supported by credible leaders to effect the much needed change, Esanubi is out because he has chosen to do the right thing.
