WARRI- A Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chieftain in Delta State and House of Representatives aspirant, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi has promised to give the people of Warri Federal Constituency quality representation and ensure peace and security in Warri at the lower chamber if given the opportunity to serve at Abuja.
Chief Ereyitomi made this promise yesterday at the party secretariat in Warri during a consultative visit to leaders of the PDP in both Warri South and Warri South-West constituencies led by Mr. Johnson Agbeyegbe and Pa. John Edah.to acquaint them of his ambition and seek their support in his bid to realize his dream project.
He said he is not in the race to malign anybody reputation nor engage in campaign of calumny against his opponent because he does not see politics as a do or die affair.
“All of us in the race are brothers. I will not engage in destroying the image or character of anybody. My concern is to give the good people of Warri Federal constituency a vibrant and quality representation, ensure peace and security when encouraging good neighborliness amongst the Itsekiri, Ijaws and Urhobos that forms the constituency”, he stated.
The House of Representatives aspirant who is also a Commissioner representing the Itsekiri ethnic nationality in the state owned oil interventionist agency, DESOPADEC told the PDP leaders that he had to come to see them for consultations properly because they are the engine room that would drive the project to success, assuring that his victory would be victory for all as he intends to run an open door policy that will carry everyone along.
Chairman of the PDP in Warri South who spoke on behalf of the executive members, Mr. Johnson Agbeyegbe welcome the idea of Chief Ereyitomi joining the race, saying that it would make it very intense and interesting, noting that they would give their support to all aspirants and prayed that Chief Thomas achieves his ambition to go to the Green Chamber.
“We are happy that people like you are in the race. It makes it very interesting. You are a man of your word. Warri South is the heart of politics in Delta State. So be rest assured of our support as you embark on your consultation with major stakeholders”, Mr. Agbeyegbe assured.
