Former managing director of Niger Delta development commission(NDDC) and governorship aspirant under the platform of peoples Democratic party,PDP for November 16,2019 gubernatorial election in Bayelsa state chief Timi Alaibe has promised to set a action plan that will tackled the insecurity challenges currently facing the state.
He said one of the major factors while investors cannot come into the state is insecurity, adding that his government if elected will addressed youth restiveness by disarming, rehabilitating, demobilizing, and reintegrating them to be useful youths to contribute to the well being of society.
He stated this at the Nigeria union of journalists, Bayelsa state council in Yenagoa while exchanging views with newsmen.
Chief Alaibe said,he will come up with workable strategies towards curbing crime and criminality within six months of his administration,stressing that he will create jobs for the unemployed youths.
The PDP Guber aspirant noted that with his vast experience both in private and public life, he will build the State’s economy so that it will not only rely on oil and gas revenue alone but will build an economic that will bring about economic growth and development for a prosperous future for Bayelsa children and also create a social investment scheme that will bring economic growth and development to the State.
According to him”if elected, my administration will invest in critical infrastructure such as roads, bridges and infrastructures that will promote environmental growth to create jobs for the people.”
Speaking on the Agge Seaport project, which has lingered over the years undone, he said if elected into office, he will do all his best to ensure the road to Agge deep seaport project which is critical to the economic and infrastructural well-being of the State is completed and commissioned to enable the state and the people have access to the seaport and also enable the people have access to job opportunities that will bring about the much desired economic goals that will change the living standards of the people.
He commended Governor Dickson led administration for the critical infrastructural development across the state, noting that all ongoing projects of Dickson led government would be completed while other landmark projects Will be executed to open the state for foreign investment inflow.
