The Ijaw women cooking competition is ongoing in Warri,  Delta state for the first time so far being organized in Niger Delta.

Chief Barrister Smooth, an Ijaw musical icon told our reporter that the significance of the competition is to bring back the Ijaw cultural cooking skills among Ijaw women that Ijaw ancient women were known for in the villages.

He said. ‘‘ We have to bring back our Ijaw native cooking as modern day Ijaw women cannot cook due to fast food  joints  everywhere in the cities’’

It would be recalled that Mrs Egbas who has been nominated by her friends owing to her cooking prowess to participate at the forthcoming 2019 Ijaw female cooking contest displayed are skills yesterday by cooking a delicious ”banga” soup to the admiration of all.
